My Love For White Pekingese

This is my first dog Tou-fu (meaning lots of luck in Chinese), a heavenly natured white 4 mouth old Pekingese. We adopted him from humane Society where he had been rescued. The buyer abandoned him after he arrived sick in Washington DC from San Francisco. One week with us and he had to be put to sleep because of distemper. He was bred in a puppy mill. I hope he will be in peace now and laying on his purple satin pillow in heaven.

Love is forever!

You-Lu (good futune or baby deer) was my second Pekingese from Humane Society, a three years old silver, fawn with a black mask. We fostered him while we were waiting for my white Pekingese puppy after Toufu died. You-lu is elegant mannered gentlemen and very cheerful. His affection is dignified but well expressed and he is "little snob" among his own. Here You-Lu was in my studio on my chair in front of a oil painting I was working on.

Compassion is the best healing medicine!

Here is my treasure. Windemere's Cloud Design, we call him Bai-Lu (clear dew drop from heaven), an off spring of two white Pekingese champions. After Tou-fu died, I could not think of any way to replace him with another dog.

My friend Charlie understood my pain of loss and suggested that to use my art creation to exchange for another white puppy over the internet.

This sure started a new page of life and gave me a wonderful start to have another white Pekingese puppy. Thanks to Joy/ John Thoms whom were willing to made this possible. Bai- Lu was born in September, 1998, the same mouth Tou-fu died. I had to wait for Bai-Lu to grown up and become old enough to leave his dam. Now he is the little emperor in the house, a thinking dog and very friendly. He has a show biz personality. He is going to be my painting subject for a long time.

Life is beautiful if you allow art keep you young!
